Essex Condominiums

The Essex Condominiums verge on the northern border of Old City. Though grand in space and floor area (sumptuous hardwood floor, to be exact), much of the design is simple, elegant, and comfortable. A gallery hallway leads you past warm bedrooms/studies/dens with beautiful marble en suite bathrooms, and into an inviting living room with an adjoining terrace. The kitchen is equipped with Viking appliances and granite countertops—enough to cater a party of 50! And let’s not forget the placid view of the city and park stretches right nearby.
Point blank, everyone wants to live in Old City. From the Essex Condos, you’re only a three-minute walk from the Market Street subway line (buses also run right by Essex). A short jaunt south brings you to the heart of Old City, where fine eateries, gastro pubs, dance clubs, and chic cocktail lounges await. Of course, there’s always the riverfront festival spot, Penn’s landing, for catching a concert, or the dog run right down the street (give the pooches some love!). And keep an eye out for first Friday bashes, when Old City Galleries open their doors and premier new works. Other artists set up their displays and show their work on the streets. - Café Ole: Acclaimed for its hefty sandwiches and copious cups of coffee!
- Khyber: Tre-divey. Cheap micro-brews. Live head-Jamming tunes!
- Dolce Restaurant: It is what the name implies: sweet, savory, sumptuous goodness!
- Meju: BYOB Korean – some of the best Bibim Bop in town! Casual ambiance, great staff.
